I am enamored with the Song Qi restaurant by Alan Yau in Monte-Carlo because it is a gem. It combines amazing food with sophisticated decor and great service. I had lunch and was blown away by the combination of tastes, flavor and presentation.
The boom boom chicken salad which consists of smoked chicken shaved cucumber and a light peanut sauce is out of this world. The noodles with mushrooms are light and airy but full of flavor. The pan fried vegetable dumplings are just the right consistency. Not overpowering.
The decor is stellar with beautiful green velvet chairs, chinoiserie styled black and gold walls and custom marble black and white floors. Sophisticated but inviting and comfortable. If you are in that part of the world give Song Qi a try!
