I am in awe of Dubai because it feels like a Sci-Fi city. A location that until a decade ago was just barren dessert now houses the tallest building in the world, a variety of luxury accommodations, astonishing retail malls, art & music festivals and international dining options of all kind. It is truly a gateway in the Middle East. Brining many cultures together cohabitating in peace.
I had a business lunch at the Armani Hotel which is in the Burj Khalifa the world tallest building. The Armani restaurants are true representation of the Armani brand, sleek, sophisticated and non-fussy. Moreover, the food and service is spot on. This is a mature venue without the bells & whistles you will find at other dining venues in Dubai. If you are going for great food with a design aesthetic then this is the place to go.
We dined at the Armani Deli which is an Italian eatery with a Mediterranean flair. From the name I was expecting an American deli with sandwiches but this venue is nothing like that. From fresh fish, to homemade pastas, fresh meats and antipasto of all kind you will not go wrong with your selection. The desert selection is heavenly and all made on premises. Adore the fresh juices and sodas which are very refreshing and thirst quenching.
We sat outside since weather permitted overlooking the fountain that offers a musical show at dusk. it was definiley worth my time and effort to visit the Armani Hotel and restaurant. The Burj Khalifa is an extradonary piece of real estate.
