I was not sure what I was expecting on my recent business trip to Dubai. What I was not expecting was the vast array of fantastic dining venues and delicious food. I was invited to a business dinner at La Serre in downtown Dubai. La Serre is housed in the Vida Hotel which is an upscale boutique hotel in the downtown section. The restaurant/bistro has a French-Mediterranean twist with very fresh ingredients.

Our host selected the Chefs table so we ate while the chefs prepared the delicious items we devoured. We had a four course tasting menu that consisted of an assortment of appetizers (flatbreads, tuna carpaccio & fresh chesses), seafood risotto, Grilled fish and meat s & a selection of desserts (dark chocolate pudding, Tart Tatin and French toast). The fish was just mouthwatering like it just came out of the gulf.

La Sere is hip and trendy and attacks the chic local Dubai crowd and tourist visiting Dubai. A definitely fun experience and very different than what I was expecting.
