Mirabelle is a contemporary restaurant located in downtown Washington, DC serving modern French and American fare.
James Beard award winner Chef Frank Ruta leads the team at Mirabelle after serving as White House chef under three different administrations.
Chef Ruta and Pastry chef Aggie Chin create luscious dishes that take French cuisine to a different level. The interior of the restaurant is sophisticated, this is not a trendy dining venue but one where you feel you are in a bygone era where interiors where modern and elegant. The striking décor enhances the dining experience. The brass, wood paneling, textured leather seats and marble are done in a calm, serene and refined decorating style.
Mirabelle is a close walk to my corporate headquarters in Washington, DC so perfect for a business lunch or dinner as it is a dining venue where you can enjoy great food in a chic ambience while being able to conduct business.
The service is excellent and the food whether you are having an entrée salad for lunch or fish for dinner will not disappoint. There is a pastry cart filled with delicious desserts that pastry chef Aggie Chin creates that I feel are a work of art. My Friend Elizabeth is the bread baker so her fresh breads and baguettes served with luscious butter take me over the edge.
There is expansive outdoor seating when the weather permits so one can enjoy the amazing food and take in the nice Washington, DC weather. Mirabelle is a welcome addition for dining in Washington, DC setting the bar very high for modern French fare!
