On a recent business trip in London I was waiting on Mount Street in Mayfair to meet a client when I had a few minutes to spare. I walked into the Christopher Kane store to be mesmerized by his designs.

I travel a great deal around the globe and everything is looking the same. With Christopher Kane I saw a breath of fresh air when it comes to fashion design for women.

From the elegant sheath dresses with a swirl of diagonal feathers, to the black wool cardigan with the feather pom poms and the stunning low-heeled sling backs and short booties with crystal accents it was all innovative and creative. The sling backs are so comfortable but elegant and glam with the crystal flower accents.

Christopher Kane is Scottish and has brought a fresh approach to his designs. They are quirky but wearable and it seems to me that he has stayed true to his vision for his work. His designs are not what you see in all the stores.

His flagship London store is two floors with an open space where the clothes and accessories are displayed to be carefully admired and appreciated for the design and workmanship.

One aspect about traveling internationally is that I get to experience different parts of the world that showcase different designers and their unique designs.
