On a recent trip to Jordan with Abercrombie and Kent I was fortunate to stay at the Kempinski on the Dead Sea for two nights.
After many days of visiting the historic sights, it was nice to slow down the pace and enjoy the beauty of the Kempinski Resort and the stunning Dead Sea.
The Kempinski has a zen feel with beautiful gardens, infinity pools and various dining options overlooking the Dead Sea.
My favorite was any of the outdoor venues because the weather was just perfect and the view of the Dead Sea looking over Israel was breathtaking!
One of the best features of staying at the Dead Sea is to soak in the salty water and place the mud all over the body. You are instructed to partake this ritual twice a day. You first soak in the Dead Sea for 15 min, then come out and apply the special mud all over your body, let it dry for 15 minutes then go into the water and rinse it off. I took a further step and used the outdoor shower for a thorough rinse. My skin became so soft and I felt lighter.
Then there is a full service spa with water treatments and a full range of packages to experience the different treatments. There is an outdoor pool in the spa area surrounded by lemon trees.
I am always rushing in the morning so to be able to have breakfast overlooking the Dead Sea was relaxing and a much needed break. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a vast selection fresh juices, fruit, pastries, local middle eastern delicacies, western breakfast items and anything one could desire.
I was so impressed by the Kempinski for the stunning property and views, great service, delicious food, nightly belly dancing and the Dead Sea experience.
