There have been so many changes to the dining scene in Washington, DC in the last few years. New areas have popped up and so much urban revitalization has occurred. I adore when a city comes alive and people are moving about and enjoying the city after work hours.
I am not a huge fan of pizza but I have to say that a recent visit to Timber Pizza has changed my mind! Located in the residential area of Petworth DC with an influx of local dining and retail, Timber Pizza is laid-back with a comfortable vibe.
I headed down to Timber Pizza with some friends to try their Neapolitan wood fired Pizza. It was such a delightful surprise and much more than I expected! The dough is light and the ingredients are so fresh and tasty with a great selection of beer, wine and sparkling bubbles as well. They offer great side salads that are fresh with locally farm sourced produce.
The only drawback is that they don’t take reservations, so you must either wait or take out. When we visited it was a tad windy and cold, but we sat outside as that was the only spot available. The pizza is so good and worth the wait.
