I love a restaurant that enlivens an area and gives it a sense of community! Millie’s located in the Spring Valley section of Washington, DC does just that.

A real communal dining venue with a large outdoor sitting area with large picnic tables and umbrellas, an outdoor and indoor bar area and an ice cream station that is open for takeout. The whole concept is outdoor dining with ease.

I adore Millie’s because the coastal seafood is so good but served in a relaxed and fun ambience. Whether you are on a date, with family, small children or your dog you will feel comfortable and be able to relax.

I have eaten at Mille’s several times and every item I have tasted on the menu has been fantastic! From the grilled shrimp tacos to the fresh salmon salad and the seared tuna you can’t go wrong. It is tasty and the ingredients fresh.

There is a large selection of libations and the bar area with the outside seating is fun and serves the same menu.

Millie’s has taken a quiet and residential part of DC and livened it up with good food, ambience and sense of community!
