I was just at the Nemacolin Resort for a corporate retreat and was taken aback by the beauty of the laurel highlands of Pennsylvania and the property.
The resort is on over 2000 acres of land that compromise various hotels within the property for lodging, a spa, a sports activity center, a golf course, museums and restaurants. The grounds are just stunning with art weaved throughout the property.
I am always hesitant about food at a resort but the food throughout Nemacolin is fantastic. My favorite place for the food and ambiance is Aqueous. Nemacolin is a short drive to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water and the Aqueous restaurant gets its inspiration and design from Falling Water.
Aqueous is situated overlooking the golf course and the sweeping mountains serving delectable seafood with meat options. The floor to ceiling windows allows for a fantastic viewing of the sunset.
The food is delicious and presented beautifully. The seafood is fresh and tasty while the appetizers, whether a spinach salad or grilled asparagus, are locally sourced and prepared to perfection.
The ambience coupled with sweeping views and the fresh seafood make it a special destination.
