These are trying times for restaurants. They were closed for several months and now working with the unknown.
I try to support my local restaurants by dining on their outdoor seating areas. As long as I feel safe I will partake in some dining outside my house.
I feel important to support local businesses while being safe and healthy. If not we will lose so many great places that might not last.
One very beautiful restaurant tucked in a corner of a tree lined street in Washington, DC is Annabelle.
This quant neighborhood tucked on a side street serves amazing modern American cuisine. The kitchen is lead by former White House Chef Frank Ruta.
To accommodate the new normal they have placed tables outdoors. Since it is a neighborhood restaurant it fits perfectly with the surroundings.
The food which is delicious and locally sourced is delicious. From the fish to the starters and dessert I was pleased with every item I tried.
The service is intimate but stellar with full attention to detail even in these difficult times.
I adore the outdoor tables set under the large trees. It feels like you are having great cuisine in a garden. It is soothing and for a while and I forgot what was transpiring.
Let’s support our local restaurants and chefs as much as we can.
