Balos is a fantastic Mediterranean/Greek restaurant in the Dupont Circle area of Washington, DC.  A large open space with an expansive bar, table seating by the bar and a large dining room with muted beige coastal tones a beautiful expansive tapestry on the wall. The décor and ambiance are soothing, but the main attraction of the show is the food.

The portions are large so sharing would be my recommendation. We started with the Greek salad which is authentic with no lettuce, the tasty spanakopita, and the zucchini crips. For dinner we shared the grilled branzino and the large prawns. There is a temptation to order more but one must leave for dessert. My favorite is the flaky baklava which made well-made but light.

Balos is a perfect venue for a business dinner or lunch conveniently located in Dupont Circle neat downtown and other parts of Washington, DC. The service is friendly and attentive, which makes the meal more memorable.
