I love supporting local businesses because if we do not it becomes one mass concentration of chains. Supporting local builds communities and gives entrepreneurs a chance to thrive.
Grace Street Coffee is one such entity located on the waterfront in the Georgetown section of Washington, DC. Serving modern specialty coffees with an in-house coffee roasting component.
Just a half a block from my new corporate headquarters I paid them a visit to find smooth coffee and a vast array of teas and pastries. I adore iced tea on the hot days of summer, and I was able to get a fresh brewed earl grey tea iced. There are no tea bags at Grace Street Coffee but lose tea brewed to perfection. My iced tea was fantastic!
I bought a few sweets for my team such as the Nutella croissant, the miniature lemon cake, and the savory cheddar scones. All were delicious and most importantly fresh.
The interior is spacious with a Zen feel with picnic tables outdoors overlooking the Potomac River across the street. A perfect space to take a break, grab a fresh brewed coffee or tea and relax.
