Cordoba is a magical city lush with history, architecture, and culture. Whether strolling the cobblestone streets, visiting the Mosque/Cathedral, or just sitting in a café having a Spanish libation you will me mesmerized by the beauty.

For me food is an important part of travel. Food allows us to share a meal and bond over the experience and the cuisine.

On a recent trip to Cordoba, I was fortunate to visit the Michelin starred restaurant Casa Pepe de la Juderia providing a wonderful interpretation of the Spanish region’s food.

We sat on the roof top terrace during a balmy night in late September to experience the stunning view and try the different food choices for dinner. We started with a variety of tapas like seared tuna, zucchini blossoms, croquettes, pepe style fried eggplants with honey and sautéed artichokes.

We had so many tapas to start that for dinner we shard the sirloin and the fresh sea bass. For dessert we shared two flans that were delicious. Such detail and love are shown to the food preparation and service.

Casa Pepe also has a Tapas restaurant just next door that is less formal with a younger vibe.
