I have been a fan of Azzedine Alaia’s designs for years. He was an expert in sculpting clothing that accentuated a woman’s physique. The clothes Alaia designed were architectural. Every dart, seam and hem thoughtfully placed like a piece of couture clothing.

After Azzedine Alaia’s death Pieter Mullier took over carrying on the design aesthetic. Mullier has modernized the Alaia designs, making them even more wearable.

I am a fan of a little black dress that I can wear from day to night. I travel a great deal and a knit dress like the one with bubble hand knitted wool cuffs is a piece that I would wear often. Knits are my favorites because they do not wrinkle, pack easily and are useful for multiple occasions.

Besides my favorite, the current collection has an array of knit dresses that are extremely versatile. The knit designs can be dressed up or down with a change of accessories.
