I have learned in my travels that taking care of my facial skin is paramount when dealing with dry air on long flights, varying temperatures globally & inconsistent temperature settings in hotel rooms.
I was advised early on my mother Homa that I need to wear sunscreen on my face year round. Even in winter when we think the sun is not in full force. This has been confirmed to me by my dermatologist Dr. Tina Alster. As we grow older the effects of the sun does not become any less dangerous or damaging. Further, one has to be more diligent in terms of skincare & maintenance
My go to sunscreen is Anthelios by La Roche-Posay. I use the highest number on my face all year round after I apply my moisturizer. I find the light formula to go on smoothly, does not clog or cause me to break out.
I usually stock up for the year when in Europe from the local pharmacy as less expensive than purchasing in the U.S. Available in the US the La Roche-Posay website, dermatologist offices & some select drug stores.
I haven’t found a facial sunscreen that works any better!
