I was recently in New York for business and a had a fantastic lunch at AVRA on East 60th street in Manhattan. I adore freshly prepared grilled fish and AVRA has the most sumptuous display of fresh fish where you can select your catch of the day!

The ambience and décor are inviting with an large open dining room, large pieces of art and mature trees. It conveys a true feeling of openness in the heart of Manhattan. A perfect place for a business lunch or dinner where you can have great conversation and enjoy the traditional Greek food.

I selected branzino from the fresh fish display and my branzino was grilled, deboned and sprinkled with a bit of olive oil. It was perfection. We started with a Greek salad and homemade spanakopita. We ended our meal with homemade baklava and a plate of Greek cookies.

The whole experience at AVRA was perfection and the service was fantastic! A very friendly and inviting restaurant with a beautiful setting with delicious Greek food to share and enjoy.
