After a fantastic tour of the Louvre on Saadiyat island, which is the new cultural island in Abu Dhabi, we were excited to see the new Saadiyat cultural district.
We wanted to have dinner on the beach and just relax and refresh after the breath-taking architecture of the Louvre. We were in the mood for Lebanese food, so we headed to Beirut Sur Mer a beautiful restaurant right on soul beach,
Whether you sit inside or outside on the terrace facing the sea it is perfect. The service is so attentive, and the food is one of the best Lebanese food I have tried globally. It is fresh and the portions are perfect for sharing. Fresh house made bread with a dipping sauce arrives before your meal. I ordered the mint lemonade as it was still warm in the evening, and it was so refreshing and tangy.
We started with fattoush, tabbouleh, a roasted eggplant dish with an order of grilled chicken kabob. Every item was so fresh and delicious. The spices and herbs were exactly right making our meal delightful. The chicken kabob was succulent and full of flavor.
We had tea and baklava for dessert while we gazed out on the sea and took in the vista. I look forward to returning on my next trip so I can try more items from the menu and be mesmerized by the great food and surroundings.
