I travel a great deal for business and attend many conferences. Recently I attended a small conference in Miami at the Turnberry Isle which pleasantly surprised me with its large comfortable rooms and pleasant Spanish colonial architecture.
While at the conference I had a business dinner with a client to celebrate her Birthday at Bourbon Steak located right at the resort. The ambiance, service and food were amazing. We were fortunate that it was still part of the September “spice” event so we had three courses for $39.00.
Of course, the signature fries with dipping sauce were brought out by our pleasant server and we then decided that we were going to be “diet free” and order the truffle mac and cheese as our side dish. I started with a sashimi and my client, an arugula salad with lobster, then we both had local snapper and Oreo cake for dessert!
The food was delicious and the preparation of the snapper was so fresh! The truffle mac and cheese was not heavy but just the right amount of cheese and truffle oil.
The restaurant is very nicely appointed with banquets for sitting. Large yellow orchid arrangements and plenty of room between tables for conversations. It was a great surprise to find Bourbon Steak at Turnberry Isle, affording me the chance to have a wonderful business dinner while attending my conference.
