I was fortunate to dine at the Bukhara restaurant on my most recent trip to New Delhi, India. Bukhara is known for its North West frontier Indian Cuisine where the food is cooked in the clay oven or tandoor.
The Chefs at Bukhara are proficient in the tandoori cooking and the open exposed kitchen allowed me to watch the entire process. The Naan bread is massive, flaky and delicious.
The ambiance is casual and traditional reflecting the region where the food originates from. The entire team was so attentive and explained the cocking process to me while I enjoyed the mouthwatering tandoori cuisine.
My tandoori chicken was one of the best I have had with the right amount of spices but moist and tender. Even the vegetables that came out of the tandoor oven were cooked to perfection.
There are so many wonderful dining options in New Delhi but I would definitely add Bukhara on my list for future trips. I loved meeting the chefs and learning about their cooking techniques and years of hands on experience!
