I adore local restaurants because they add to the fabric of a community. Being an entrepreneur myself I know the trial and tribulations of getting a business off the ground and making it a success.

There are many interesting neighborhoods in Washington, DC. Mt. Pleasant must be one of the most quirky and authentic. It has stayed true to its roots with local stores, restaurants, and bars. It is a mix of multiple ethnicities that translates to the distinct cuisine that one can find.

One of my favorite places for breakfast is Dos Gringos, a casual local restaurant that serves an amazingly affordable breakfast. This dining venue housed in a double story townhouse has indoor and outdoor seating, local art throughout and a comfortable chill vibe.

My favorite is the scrambled cilantro eggs that you can order on toast, a tortilla or without any carbs. I added a hazelnut coffee with cream & sugar and it was perfection. A local favorite establishment since 1999 Dos Gringos is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

When you walk in the doors you feel the sense of community!
