Traveling for business is taxing but when I am able to add a cultural twist to my itinerary it lessens the pain!
I was fortunate to be able to mix business travel with visiting the Frieze Art Fair in New York City at Randall Island. Held in a large white tent the space is bright and welcoming.
National and International artists and galleries come to NYC to showcase their wares. The contemporary art is diverse and allows one to see what these galleries from various parts of the world showcase and represent.
From digital art, paintings, neon installations sculptures, live animals and much more all is available for the public to view.
I have to state that I am enamored with Damien Hirst’s butterfly painting with details and intricacies that left me spellbound.
I was fortunate to go to the preview event under the auspices of the Hirshhorn museum in Washington DC, with their astute curators explaining certain prices and providing exhilarating insight.
Even though art is not my field of business it does feed my soul and inspiring me to be more creative in my own field.
