I attend an annual USTOA international conference where I meet with my clients every December. I am always searching for a “fun & useful item” to take them as a token gift.

I spent this thanksgiving holiday with my sister in East Hampton. After all the eating we decided to go to Sag Harbor for a bit of walking and do a bit of window shopping.

One of my favorites stores is Urban Zen. The store created by Donna Karan as an initiative to fund her causes that range from healthcare, woman”s issues and micro Development in Haiti.

I found at Urban Zen a great handcrafted item to give as a gift. These stone hearts are made by artisans in Haiti. By purchasing these types of items we are adding in the economic Development of these artisans. I hope my clients enjoy this gift as much as I did sourcing it.

I am obsessed by the signage I saw at Urban Zen that resonates with such an important message:

“Raise awareness – inspire change.”
