Le Diplomate is your quintessential French bistro but located in Washington, DC not Paris! It is noisy, fun and the food is delicious. Located on 14th Street NW at Q Street, 14th street has seen a real resurgence in the last few years. Once a sleepy and forgotten street now bustling with trendy restaurants, bars, clubs, stores and upscale apartments.

Le Diplomate is definitely worth a visit if you are in the DC area. It is very authentic in character with outside seating when the DC weather permits! I had the trout almandine and my colleagues tried everything from the smoked salmon, steak frite, duck to roasted chicken. The French fries are to die for! Must make room for desert next time I visit.
