I would like to highlight one of my favorite restaurants, Momofuku CCDC, located in the City Center complex in Washington DC. My fondness for Momofuku by DC native chef David Chang https://momofuku.com/our-company/team/ is because of the innovative aspect of the restaurant. It is a casual place with great food to have a libation, eat and relax.
Momofuku’s design is a loft like space with tall ceilings, with patio dining when weather permits. It is a joy to explore chef David Chang’s interpretation of Asian-American cuisine. The menu is seasonal and local sourced when possible. The quirky and fun vibe of the venue is a departure from the more traditional dining venues in Washington DC.
David Chang’s creative yet delicious food can be savored whether one likes noodles, vegetables, pork buns or shared larger plates like chicken or cod. The adjoining Milk Bar provides desert for the dining room. The Milk Bar is as quirky ,serving their interpretation of the cookie, ice cream, pie and seasonal items. Take out can be ordered in person from both venues.
David Chang has definitely brought the fun back into dining.
