On my international business travels I have encountered many amazing places to dine, memorable for the food, ambience and service.

On a recent business dinner in Monaco Carlo I had the good fortune to dine at the Odyssey at the Hotel Metropole.

Each year chef Joel Robuchon selects a guest chef each to take over the reigns of the kitchen for the summer..

This summer the guest chef is Carmen Ruscalleda the only woman in the world to have received three stars by the Michelin guide. It was an honor to have tasted her cuisine.

Tasting the food by the pool at the Hotel Metropole was a dining experience.  

There is a tasting menu or items are available al la carte. I started with the shrimp gazpacho followed by the sea bass.

For dessert I had the delicious ice cream with a light foam accounted by a “Nemo fish” for decoration.

The setting by the pool, designed by KARL Lagerfeld, is very glamorous with a twinkling pool, with black and white cabanas for a striking contrast.

The whole experience is striking with amazing service and food.
