Many of us are living in parts of the world with extreme heat this summer. Even though it is summer we still have to work on multiple global projects and deal with business travel while others are on vacation. My mental escape is to think about fashion and especially winter fashion. I have an obsession with Tom Ford, so my first go to for fall fashion will be his pieces.

For winter 2015 he has designed a retro collection of boots & high heel sandals with a 70’s vibe. His sandals & boots are adorned with denim, metallic, patent, cords and patchwork details. I don’t know why the 70’s era has such a soft place in my heart. I think it is because fashion had a carefree element, not quite as structured as we see today. Life seemed less complicated then or maybe because I was younger and didn’t have to deal with life’s stresses.
