When I travel for business, I always want to experience the local venues so I get a feel for that city.  It makes business travel less mundane and more palatable. I adore exploring and learning about the culture of the city.

On a recent trip to Marco Island Florida for an international conference I was able to go back to the Snook Inn. A dining institution on Marco Island right on the river with indoor and outdoor dining facing the water. It has a casual vibe, great fresh seafood, and live music to complete the ambiance.

Even on a Tuesday night it was busy so we had to sit at the bar which was an experience of its own. When I am on the gulf coast of Florida, I must have fresh caught snapper or grouper. There is nothing like the taste of fresh caught fish.

The Snook Inn has a variety of preparing my snapper or grouper accompanied by a variety of sides like street corn, coconut rice, French fries, or seasonal vegetables. There is a complementary salad section with fresh dill pickles that they are famous for which is included with every entrée.

What is special about the Snook Inn is not just the fresh food and friendly service but the relaxing ambiance right on the river that melts one’s stress away.
