Fashion may seem frivolous in times of great crisis. For me it has always been an escape and a way to express myself. I watch a Haute Couture show to gather inspiration. Like I would be going to a museum. It is ART in any another format.

The Valentino Fall-Winter 2022-2023 Haute Couture show is mesmerizing. It took place at sunset on the Spanish Steps in Rome. It was a display of artistry, beauty and craftmanship. The designs created by current artistic director Pierpaolo Piccioli are an ode to the past archives but executed with modernity. The beaded gown in black & white with feathers, chiffon flowing dresses in Fuchsia and the neutral tone beaded shorts in satin with a cascading flowing coat grazing the Spanish steps were just some of the wonders shown. The live music provided by English singer Labrinth was riveting,

To me life is about dreaming, and this Valentino Haute Couture did not fail. It made me want to explore the globe again, express my mind and dream big!
