Visiting my Sister Sherry and my Brother-in-law Nader in East Hampton is always good for my soul! The serene beaches, stunning nature paths and fresh air realign my body.
After working 24/7 all year long it is great to just go off the grid and allow my body and soul to recharge. Part of this recharge is eating healthy food and detoxing my body.
Villa Italian Specialties founded in 1976 and located in East Hampton has the most delicious Italian fare. All the items are made fresh daily. This small specialty store has no dining area, so all the items are available for takeout.
Villa Italian is known for their house made mozzarella, delicious pastas with meat or vegetarian sauce, lasagna and stuffed peppers. Further, their assortment of antipasto is super fresh, and the sandwiches, served either on a roll or focaccia, are fantastic.
The prosciutto hero served with mozzarella, arugula, hot peppers and a vinaigrette dressing is my favorite! The smoked turkey on focaccia is another tour de force.
The Italian cookies are mouth watering good. My favorite is the biscotti and the orange cookies. The quality and freshness is out of this world tasty.
