I adore a great bistro and to my surprise on my last business trip to Arizona I was fortunate to dine at the Zinc Bistro. A traditional brasserie in the heart of Arizona desert.

I was fortunate that the weather was sublime during the day so you could either dine on the terrace or inside the traditional decorated brasserie. What a surprise to find Chef Matt Carter’s delicious cuisine just steps from my hotel. My colleagues and I tried various dishes on the dinner menu and each one was fantastic.

For our starter, we savored the classic onion soup, mussels and iceberg blue cheese salad with a mouthwatering  sherry shallot vinaigrette. For our main course we had the steak frite, the salmon and seafood platter. The French fries are out of this world and I didn’t even pay attention to my salmon when I saw the mounds of tiny sliced classis fries! A detailed wine list is available for parings by the glass or bottle.

I am a  chocolate soufflé fan so the highlight of my dinner was the arrival of tis delectable dessert with the grand  marinier sauce but allow 20 minutes for perfection! You will not be disappointed. What I adored was the  design and decor of Zinc bistro that gave it a real authentic flair. I felt like I was in Paris in a true bistro and not in Arizona!
